Background & Experience

Experience

I have been a social worker for ten years. I have worked as a private therapist, a crisis counselor, a teacher, and a school social worker. In addition to being a therapist, I conduct research on strengths-based social work practice. I have also taught graduate-level social work courses at various universities including the University of Chicago, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Loyola University, and the Institute for Clinical Social Work.

My approach to therapy integrates strengths-based, solution focused, internal family systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), ecobehavioral, psychodynamic, narrative, task-centered, and other practice frameworks.

Personal
I love spending time with my family and friends. I love the outdoors, the Chicago lakefront, and traveling. Some of my passions include hiking, climbing mountains, biking, volleyball, yoga, and other sports. I also enjoy fiction writing and photography.
